What makes an interest?

Some can be long-term or short-term. All of them has an indefinite time duration in each person.

Just one interest that is “invested into” makes it harder to look away or give up completely. You could one day think it’s a waste of time and effort or perhaps regret it. It is more than you might had thought.

Although the idea of having an interest is involving and could be positive, there may be downsides. Just think about it. The more you put energy into it, you would be losing more than just energy you use. It doesn’t have to be just energy. It can be your time, your material, and more so, your self-discipline and such.

It is no wonder that such realistic problems such as obsession of materialistic desires and the stressful of agony of any debt with interest is real. Please take no offense because it is true. It could be a hidden psychological agenda and tactic in which many people do enter. These are the traps where we step into of our today’s society. The cons of interest can be often overlooked unless you are careful. But then, we can never be careful enough.

It would be meaningless if you continue with no satisfaction. Let’s not waste and find what makes the better interest instead.

It is only for a person to decide what is interesting.

Although, it varies from person to person. To have an interest makes an individual. It can be found from a mere innocent thing that is fascinating. You are a scientist who discover, question, experiment and reason. From there, you find that answer and perhaps find more depth within. The result is “your own self”.

I myself am trying to amuse things with many sorts of curiosities. I look for surprises if I could. I do, some unexpectedly and never dull.

One interest can be anything at anytime and anyplace. Sometimes it can be a person or a thing. You can have more interests to keep things more interesting, which it is. A set of interests could becomes a combination of a new one to be explored by others. One involvement sparks an interest and then another. Then, you find that you are not alone. At least one thing of interest, makes you an interesting individual and it can never be taken. Even if someone has the same interest, it doesn’t mean you are the same person. Everything is just one in it’s existence.

Just remember. To make an interest and what makes it more than interesting is making it worth it. What you can gain and benefit is what matters. If it helps you or someone else, then it makes it “something that is greater”.

Where do things get interesting? What makes it more interesting than it seemed?

Our answer of our interest lies in one’s self. It is no selfish, it is the way of one’s life.

I wonder if my interest does help someone who does read this. If it does, this inspiration might be more than just helpful to me.
