The many Pictures of What is Pictured in One Whole Picture

Did you get the picture? This is just a title alone. It’s probably hard to imagine so. However, this is a remark that could be almost obvious to understand.

To me, “picture” is a flexible terminology of use to describe something.

Picture

VERB [with object] 1. Represent in a photograph or picture; 1.1 Describe in a certain way; 1.2 Form a mental image of.

(Source from Oxford Dictionary)

Pictures are taken. Picture and point taken.
We often see a variations of physical pictures such as photos we see, drawings of all kinds and films illuminated in motion. These things are considered art, entertainment or even mementos of the past.

Stalemate…

What to write… I don’t feel inspired, but I ended up getting a random thought somehow.

This time, this just occurred to me. The word that often is described to my mind is called “stalemate”.

Ironically, I’m not. As I continue, it’s worth sharing.

A stalemate is when you cannot make a move or any progress where you are. It is not a struggle, it is just the state of the mind.

Am I feeling Ambivalent or is the Ambivalence elsewhere?

We are never be sure of our feelings entirely.

We know the names of basic emotion such as joy, sadness and anger. After we learned that these first feelings are easily distinguished, we discover the are more complicated ones that are blended combinations of two or more feelings. And yet, there are more that cannot be named, described or foreseen in a single word (or perhaps within one sentence or longer). When something happen, there can be responses that be varied but never the same. There is one word however that shares many feelings that differs each other and can occur in one time and place. It is also possible for opposing feelings can be in one person as well.

Space The Spacious and its Spaces

Space.

Everything around. It is in between. Faraway. Or close by.

Everything around us is space. Within this space is occupied by the existences both animate and inanimate. Maybe the non-existent as well.

Our scientists explains that space is expanding faster than we could imagine. Our light years that tries to reach the all the space we thought we knew. Much of it, is yet to be conquered like untamed conquests. As scientifically said, much of what knowledge of what we know is space. The records from histories to the current dailies and discoveries is also space. But is more, space is always a void. Continue reading

The Word, Quixotic

Quixotic is out of this world.

Its meaning is “exceedingly idealistic, unrealistic, and impractical” (from Oxford dictionary). It is unique. It is exotic. It is all in one word that it lingers questions and underlying contradictions.

This word came from the Spanish novel called ‘Don Quixote’. Although I didn’t read the book, one day I will if… But I did look up and stood beside the monument in Madrid once.  A story about a man with the obsessions of chivalry and falls in demise like any so-called hero would.

Hang the Phrases with “Hang” and “Hanging”

It is now over 20 blogs, I held myself together. I don’t want to say “hanging in”. And figuratively speaking of which, I think is better described.

It is funny that after listening to a song, I am actually writing this. Music has always been therapeutic and the lyrics had reminded me of some past experiences or unknown wonders that is carried within. Then this particular one I was listening to is “Who’s Loving You” by the Jackson 5. R.I.P to Michael Jackson. As I hear the lyrics goes, “Don’t you know I sit around, with my head hanging down…” the inspire just came in. I am literally sitting and just thought of what I felt; it plays the words in my head as my body throbs. And then later with some real life events that happened and talked with a good friend of mine, this is what I realized. Continue reading

The Word, Ephemeral

One word is just too short. Everything with life is, as well.

The word, “ephemeral” describes it in one word. “Lasting for a very short time.”, the meaning leaves a daunting wonder. It reminds how the little things matters.

Like the flowers, they are ephemeral beings on Earth. These still and small green to colorful bits of life have only a brief moment or I can say one season.

Spring, the time to bloom is where its’ prime is unleashed. It is an ephemeral time.
